Bachathon Concert: “Bach and Friends”

The American Guild of Organists in the Sacramento Valley invites the public to an afternoon of organ music by J. S. Bach and his circle, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Sacramento, on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 2-5pm. Come and go when you please!

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 2-5pm, the Sacramento Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists invites music lovers to an afternoon of beautiful organ music by the great Johann Sebastian Bach, and composers from his circle, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, located at 2620 Capitol Avenue in central Sacramento.

Guild members and organ scholarship students will perform selections of organ music throughout the afternoon, sharing both flashy and lyrical selections for the King of the Instruments, the pipe organ, bringing its thousands of pipes to life in the grand cathedral space. The public is invite to come and go at any time between 2-5pm. Read about the cathedral organ here.

A free-will offering will be taken to support the guild’s organ scholarship program for young musicians. Cash or checks accepted. Read more about the long-standing and successful scholarship program here.

Convenient parking is available in the Sutter garage across the street.
